NFT collection Claynosaurz is being turned into an animated series. European media holding company Mediawan Kids & Family has signed a partnership with Claynosaurz Inc to produce a 39-episode show. The developers are confident that this will be the first time an NFT franchise has been transformed into a full-fledged series aimed at a broader children’s audience.

Claynosaurz started as a digital collectible intellectual property (IP) project created by former artists from Disney, Illumination and Sony. Its short humorous videos have garnered more than 450 million views and brought 11 Collision Awards. The success allowed the team to monetize the project from the early stages through NFT and build a community of over half a million fans.

The brand eventually grew into a collection of 10,000 animated dinosaurs created on the Solana blockchain.

Earlier, the Claynosaurz team announced the expansion of its presence on Web3. The project announced that it is moving beyond the Solana blockchain and launching a new collection on Sui. The first assets will be Popkins — 25,000 characters that will drop randomly from digital boosters. Also launching is an achievement system that supports NFT on two networks.

According to the founders, the launch on Sui does not replace Solana, but rather complements the ecosystem. Genesis collections will remain on the original network, while new “digital experiences” are built on Sui’s architecture. Claynosaurz uses Walrus Protocol as a storage foundation to scale multimedia IP.

In addition, the developers are preparing a Claynosaurz game, which is expected to be released in 2025. It will not only appear on iOS and Android, but also on the SuiPlay0X1 console. The blockchain infrastructure will be hidden from users while keeping the onchain mechanics intact, the project representatives noted. This will bring together traditional gamers and the Web3 community, the developers are confident.

The team noted that it will continue to test its ideas through social networks, testing audience engagement and comedy formula. The creators believe that building a brand together with the audience is “not just an alternative, but a new norm for the media industry.”
