Caitlin Clark NFT card sell for record price

Following a 2024 Rookie of the Year campaign with the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark has seen her popularity spread worldwide. That superstardom has now expanded to the digital world with her own non-fungible token (NFT).

An NFT is a digital asset stored on a blockchain, which is a peer-to-peer network that works by recording and distributing unchangeable data.

Unlike the trading cards that were popular in the past (and still are), NFTs act as certificates of ownership and authenticity over an object, tangible or intangible. If that is super confusing, consider NFTs as the digital age of trading cards.

Recently, a Prizm Caitlin Clark gold vinyl NFT card sold for $51,248, which according to The Collectibles Guru, the sale marked a new record for any WNBA NFT card.

While that is a lot of money for a digital trading card, it is worth noting that 2025 NFL Rookie of the Year Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels sold for just $20,000.

Given Clark’s bright future with the Fever in the upcoming 2025 WNBA season, the current price tag on her NFT could very well be on the cheaper side come this time next year.

Clark and the Fever begin their three-game preseason schedule on May 3, when they host the Washington Mystics at noon CT from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind.

The team will then travel to Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa for a matchup against Brazilian National Team on Sunday, May 4 at 5 p.m. CT.

Indiana will finish their three-game preseason on May 10, when they fly out to Atlanta, GA, for a game vs. the Atlanta Dream from Gateway Center Arena.

The Fever open the 2025 regular season on May 17 when they take on Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky from Gainbridge Fieldhouse at noon CT.
