Bitcoin Case: 5 Inspectors Detained For Questioning | Bengaluru News
Bengaluru: CID sleuths investigating the Bitcoin scam of 2020 detained five police officers, who mostly worked as inspectors with Central Crime Branch in 2020, and a lab technician for questioning.
The officers were questioned from morning till late evening in CID headquarters, Palace Road.
In Nov 2020, KG Nagar police arrested M Sujay, 30, of Sadashivanagar, on drug-peddling charges.Police found the drugs were purchased through the darknet by paying in Bitcoins. Later, police arrested Srikrishna, a hacker who studied in the Netherlands, for his alleged role in dealing with Bitcoins.
