Elon Musk Stirs The Internet With His NFT Song About NFT; Netizens Smell Crypto Bull Run

Remember when the Tesla boss went around as Tesla Teknoking on Twitter, when it was still a birb and NFT was all the rage in 2021? An NFT skeptic, Musk even hopped on the Non Fungible Token bandwagon, selling an NFT song about (no surprises) NFTs. He even found a buyer. NFT artist Beeple quoted a price of $69 million. The Dogecoin daddy bargained for 420 million Doge. Beeple then tweeted ‘SOLD’ while a day later Musk remarked that he didn’t feel okay selling and so probably won’t. And now Musk wanna know whatever happened to that NFT (and the whole phenomenon in general).

The billionaire tech tycoon has strangely been averse to NFT and has criticized it on occasions. Earlier in November, in a podcast with Joe Rogan, Musk quipped that the funny thing about NFT is that they aren’t even on a blockchain to begin with. He further said that these NFTs are mere JPEGs or URLs. The X boss warned that these digital assets will vanish into thin air if the hosting agency goes out of business. He suggested that NFTs should at least be encoded in the blockchain. Musk had earlier slammed Twitter for integrating NFT features in 2021.

Musk reiterated his statement about encoding JPEG on blockchain in his latest NFT post. He further mocked NFTs, stating, ‘turns out they were kind of fungible.’

Here’s how the internet reacted to Elon Musk’s NFT post. While some junked the trends, others prospect a massive crypto bull run and NFT comeback.
