BOI issues LOC against 3 top members on Odisha EOW’s request
The Bureau of Immigration (BOI) has issued Look out Circulars (LOC) against three more top up-line members, who are also the alleged accused in the mega STA Token Crypto-Ponzi scam. The LOCs have been issued on the request of Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Bhubaneswar which is probing the case.
The investigating agency had moved the BOI ascertaining that the top up-line members were planning to leave India and flee to Dubai/ Thailand.
The LOCs have been issued against Krishna Kumar, Anil Kumar and Bhoora Ram. All the three belongs to Rajasthan.
“They are the close associates of Gurtej Singh Sidhu and look after the financial and technical management of the scheme. They are also top earners and find place in the top hierarchy of the STA Pyramid,” EOW said.
Earlier, LOC was issued against David Gez, a Hungarian national, who is the global head of this scheme/scam. EOW had earlier busted the biggest Crypto-Ponzi scam of India by arresting Gurtej Sigh Sidhu, the India head of ‘STA Crypto token’ from Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan in the month of August.
Apart from Sidhu, EOW also arrested Nirod Das of Bhadrak who is the Odisha head of STA, (Solar Techno Alliance), which was launched in September 2021. Later, the EOW had arrested Ratnakar Palai (45) from Bhubaneswar on August 15, 2023.
