Crypto prices today 26 July 2023: Bitcoin rises by 0.48%, top altcoins in the green
On Wednesday, Bitcoin was up by 0.48 percent and was trading at $29,239.14. As most of the top cryptocurrencies registered price growth today, the global crypto market cap increased by 0.57 percent to $1.18 trillion. However, the total crypto market volume stood at $26.35 billion, marking a decline of 22.48 percent over the previous day.
A majority of the top altcoins were trading higher today. At the time of writing this article (1100 IST), Ethereum was up by 0.28 percent, XRP gained by 1.86 percent, Solana increased by 0.75 percent, and Litecoin climbed by 0.58 percent over the last 24 hours. Contrastingly, Cardano fell by 0.48 percent, Polygon slipped by 3.04 percent and Polkadot lost 0.36 percent.
Gainers and losers
Today’s top gainer was Compound, which zoomed by 12.28 percent since the last day. Others in the green zone were Theta Network, Maker, Trust Wallet Token, etc.
On the other hand, XDC Network slipped by 7.28 percent, while Synthetix, Mantle, and Gala lost 5.83 percent, 4.27 percent, and 3.95 percent, respectively.
Interestingly, Worldcoin was the most trending crypto of the day.
Memecoins in the green
Today most of the popular memecoins were trading higher. Elon Musk’s favourite Dogecoin gained by 3.65 percent and was priced at $0.08015. Another canine-based memecoin, Shiba Inu was up by 2.22 percent to $0.000007942.
Metaverse tokens up
Top Metaverse tokens displayed increasing trends today. Internet Computer, Theta Network, Stacks, and Zilliqa gained by 0.68 percent, 5.75 percent, 0.81 percent, and 1.85 percent, respectively. However, Axie Infinity, The Sandbox, and Decentraland witnessed a downward trend.
