Crypto prices today 6 July 2023: Bitcoin loses 0.11%, Ethereum & other top altcoins trading with cuts

On Thursday, Bitcoin declined by 0.11 percent to $30,461.43 since the past day. Ethereum, the second largest crypto in the world, fell by 0.22 percent to $1,910.79. However, Bitcoin’s dominance increased by 0.10 percent over the last 24 hours and is currently at 49.71 percent, with that of Ethereum at 19.3 percent.
Most of the other popular altcoins were trading with cuts today. At the time of writing this article (1030 IST), XRP decreased by 2.59 percent, Cardano lost 3.47 percent, Litecoin was down by 2.57 percent and Polygon plunged by 4.46 percent.
However, cryptos like Solana gained by 0.58 percent, and Monero climbed by 0.78 percent over the last day.
On 6 July, the global crypto market cap stood at $1.19 trillion, falling by 1.37 percent since the last day. The total crypto market volume zoomed by 14.99 percent to $32.12 billion.
Gainers and decliners
Today’s top gainer was Bitcoin Cash, which grew by 4.30 percent, followed by Bitcoin SV and eCash, which gained 1.38 percent and 1.02 percent, respectively.
On the other hand, Zilliqa and Fantom were among the top decliners, falling by 8.47 percent and 7.35 percent, respectively, over the last day.
Memecoins trading in the red
Today, a majority of memecoins registered a decline. Elon Musk-backed Dogecoin lost 2.90 percent and is currently priced at $0.06697. Shiba Inu, another canine-based memecoin was down by 3.09 percent to $0.0…07483.
Metaverse tokens down
Popular metaverse tokens displayed negative trends. Over the last 24 hours, Axie Infinity, The Sandbox, Decentraland, and Theta Network plunged by 3.09 percent, 3.53 percent, 3.34 percent, and 6.12 percent, respectively.
