Luxury brand Hermès won a lawsuit to permanently block artist Mason Rothschild’s sales of ‘MetaBirkin’ non-fungible tokens (NFTs) after a US jury’s verdict that they violated Hermès’ trademark rights in its famed Birkin handbags. The judge said the permanent injunction was justified because Rothschild’s continued NFT marketing would likely confuse consumers and irreparably harm the company.
