Crypto prices today 23 June 2023: Bitcoin continues to surpass the $30k mark, top altcoins-Ethereum, XRP & Cardano trade with price cuts

On Friday, the global crypto market dipped by 1.38 percent over the last 24 hours to $1.17 trillion, while the total crypto market volume declined by 33.22 percent to stand at $39.67 billion. However, Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency continues to hover above the $30,000 mark, though witnessing a drop of 0.97 percent since the previous day.

Its largest peer, Ethereum, fell by 1.80 percent to $1,882.52, at the time of writing this article (1030 IST). Other top altcoins were also trading in the red today. XRP reduced by 3.43 percent, Cardano lost 2.08 percent, Solana tumbled by 4.11 percent and Polygon decreased by 4.21 percent. Contrastingly, cryptos like Monero and VeChain grew by 2.26 percent and 4.75 percent, respectively, since the last day.

Presently, Bitcoin’s dominance is at 49.8 percent, followed by that of Ethereum which is at 19.3 percent.

Gainers and decliners

Today’s top gainer was Bitcoin SV, advancing by 7.83 percent. It was followed by UNUS SED LEO, Pepe, Conflux, and Bitcoin Cash. In the red zone were Stacks, Flow, Gala, and Sui, among others.

Interestingly, the most trending coin is Pepe, which witnessed a jump of 72.03 percent over the last seven days.

Meme coins in the red

Popular meme coins displayed negative price trends. Elon Musk’s favourite, Dogecoin dipped by 2.50 percent to $0.06642. Another canine-based meme coin, Shiba Inu shrunk by 1.67 percent, while Floki lost 0.12 percent over the last 24 hours.

Metaverse tokens trading with price cuts

A majority of the Metaverse tokens witnessed curtailment in prices. Internet Computer, ApeCoin, Render Token, The Sandbox, and Decentraland dropped by 1.75 percent, 6.34 percent, 6.21 percent, 1.49 percent, and 1.75 percent, respectively. On the other hand, Axie Infinity gained by 0.62 percent since the last day.
