NFT Claims Fail to Save Digital Point-of-Sale Patent on Appeal
A patent owner who has challenged major retailers in court lost another bid to defend his digital sales technology Thursday, when the Federal Circuit ruled he can’t save his patent from invalidation by arguing it actually covered NTF technology.
A three-judge panel affirmed an administrative tribunal’s decision that knocked out James L. Driessen’s US Patent No. 10,304,052, which covers online point-of-sale technology.
