Bitcoin, Ether rally continues in Friday Asia afternoon trading

The cryp­tocur­ren­cy mar­ket con­tin­ued its ral­ly in after­noon trad­ing in Asia on Fri­day, with Bit­coin and Ethereum up 4.4% and 5.7%, respec­tive­ly, over the past 24 hours.

  • Bit­coin was at one point chang­ing hands above the US$24,000 mark in ear­ly after­noon at a new high since July 20, and was trad­ing at US$23,957 at 4:30 p.m. on Fri­day HKT, accord­ing to data from CoinMarketCap.
  • The price of Ethereum stood at US$1,716, slight­ly down from ear­ly morning’s US$1,771 — the high­est since ear­ly June, the data showed.
  • Solana remained the biggest mover through­out the day among the 10 most trad­ed coins, up 8.8% in 24 hours.
  • This comes as Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index dropped by 2.26% at close on Fri­day, with Shang­hai Com­pos­ite down 0.89% and Nikkei 225 down 0.05%.
