Cere Network Launches The First Secure Nft Asset Delivery And Storage Protocol Built On A Decentralized Data Cloud

Cere Network (Cere), the Decentralized Data Cloud (DDC) platform, today announced the launch of Cere Freeport, a Non-Fungible Token (NFT)-focused solution suite built for secure NFT asset management, custody, and delivery. Built on Cere’s DDC in collaboration with Polygon, Freeport is the first truly decentralized NFT management platform, empowering developers to secure and deliver NFT-backed data assets together with the NFT to the purchasers in a trustless way via its smart contracts and tools. Freeport directly integrates with Ethereum via smart contracts, along with all other Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible blockchains, such as Polygon, BSC, and Polkadot’s Kusama.

Cere “Freeport” Is The First Solution Suite For NFT & Metaverse Companies For Custody And Trustless Delivery Of NFT-Backed Assets For Their Customers.

“One of the main problems for NFT security is that the underlying data is stored on centralized file servers,” said Sandeep Nailwal, Polygon Co-founder and COO of Polygon. “Cere Freeport is a gamechanger in that it’s stored in a truly decentralized data cloud, meaning storage and ownership of NFTs is not reliant on centralized ISPs (Internet Service Providers) or IPFS (InterPlanetary File System). Cere Freeport is the solution for this acute need of the entire blockchain ecosystem.”

Previously, Cere raised $41 Million from numerous investors across multiple rounds, including from Binance Labs, Arrington XRP Capital, Republic Labs, Fenbushi Digital, and Polygon, amongst others. Freeport is open to artists and creators to mint and manage their NFTs and assets, with ready-to-integrate smart contracts and a Software Development Kit (SDK) for developers. Freeport allows creators to publish NFT assets that continue to exist in Cere’s Decentralized Data Cloud, beyond the apps where they were initially issued or traded. Independent viewing experiences, usage in games, and artistic interactions between creators and collectors can be built over NFT ownership. The most exclusive assets can be protected by encryption, such that access to the assets and experiences is transferred as an integral part of the NFT.

“By launching the first viable decentralized data platform for everything NFTs, we are ensuring the future of individual, privacy-preserving data ownership,” said Fred Jin, Co-founder of Cere Network. “Cere Freeport is reducing the barriers of entry for everyone in creating, securing, and delivering NFT-powered products and experiences. Freeport ensures that you will have no worries or complications with securing your NFTs and will easily be able to access and share your assets for generations to come.”
