Nearly one in three institutional investors in crypto are already using DeFi

New global research from digital institutional investment platform VALK shows strong adoption by institutional investors of Decentralised Finance (DeFi) to maximise the returns and usage of cryptocurrency and digital assets they hold.

The study among professional investors working in eight major economies for institutions holding more than USD1 trillion in assets under management in total found nearly a third (30 per cent) of those investing in digital assets are currently using DeFi, while another 68 per cent plan to do so within a year with 39 per cent doing so within six months.
 
However, VALK says in most cases those already using DeFi are ‘testing’ the market in terms of how it works, its infrastructure and liquidity.
