Lisbon Web Summit Wrap Up: Banks are not your friends we all know that. We decided to create a replacement for the banking system. Right, something that acts in your best interest. A place where you can actually have your money work for you. Not just you work for your money. And in basically, 3 years since we launched the product, we paid a billion dollars back to the community. Probably, more than some of the greatest banks in the world. This shows you how the banks are not your friend. It is all about passion. If you have passion, if you work from the heart and not from brain you are not going to be successful.
Many times you think your brain in helping you but it actually hinders you. Your heart knows exactly where to go. So, listening to your heart is going to get you to the right place. That is the secret. You know if there is one lesson – listen to your heart.
We basically thought, okay – how many people in the world want to earn more money in their money in yield? I am sure 8 billion people are going to say of course, I want to earn more money on my money.
Okay, we are going to have to take all the banks in the world. My brain said – no way you are not doing this, my heart said – we can take on the banks and win. Why? Because 8 billion people are going to join you. And, that was really a break through. No one has done that in 700 years of banking. There has not been anyone who has taken on the banks right away. We want 8 billion people to earn yield, to take a loan, to have equal opportunity, anywhere in the world and we are going to get there. Right, million people at a time.
Community response: Listen to your brain so that your logical in your decision making. Otherwise, listening to your heart can make you too emotional resulting in decisions that you cannot control. My brain tells me that Celsius will be a top notch project for years to come.
