Bluzelle, a decentralized database provider, is releasing its anticipated file storage solution on mainnet, reports say. In detail, Bluzelle will provide a simple but resilient solution for saving immutable files on decentralized storage. Primarily, this solution aims to target NFT platforms, where the growth of digital art and media highlight the need for a flexible and relentless storage solution.
Moreover, Bluzelle’s release of the file storage mainnet signifies its transition from a raw data storage provider to a hosting platform for all types of files that demand high security, unrivalled availability, and censorship resistance. Similarly, these features will make Bluzelle an ideal platform to host content connected with non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This content includes 3D digital art pieces or video reels of particular moments, presented in NFTs.

Furthermore, the team says that the continued file immutability in previous systems is not even guaranteed. If the nodes that the users chose fail to operate, the files could be lost forever. Specifically, this issue concerns IPFS — currently the most widespread method for storing NFTs or Web3 data. To clarify, the date initially stored on IPFS is saved on just one node. Hence, replicating the file carries additional cost and effort.
On the other hand, Bluzelle solves this kind of problem. With Bluzelle, data is stored nearly simultaneously in all network nodes — having just 10 secs to be replicated on each and just one request from the user. Moreover, Bluzelle’s concurrent design enables significant performance gains for streaming large files, as well as frees the users from paying more for additional speed. Here, Bluzelle takes pride in using peer-to-peer architecture similar to torrents. This means Bluzelle users can download files from all 50+ nodes at once.
