Ahmedabad Lights Up India’s Web3 Map as India Blockchain Tour Rolls Into Town
The India Blockchain Tour (IBT), a nationwide Web3 event series by Octaloop, made a high-voltage stop in Ahmedabad this weekend – and the city delivered in full force.
With a packed venue at Courtyard by Marriott, non-stop footfall at exhibitor booths, and hundreds of developers, investors, and crypto enthusiasts in attendance, the Ahmedabad edition proved why Gujarat is fast emerging as a force to reckon with in India’s digital economy.
From tokenization to regulation, decentralized finance to AI x blockchain, the conversations throughout the day reflected not just curiosity – but conviction. IBT Ahmedabad showed that Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities aren’t waiting to catch up. They’re already building.
“Ahmedabad exceeded all expectations – booths were packed, questions never stopped, and the passion for crypto was contagious. We loved connecting with the local trading community and look forward to doing more here.”
– Vikas Gupta, Country Manager – India, Bybit
“It was heartening to see so many sharp minds and genuine curiosity in the room. India’s Web3 energy is real, and Ahmedabad showed us why it cannot be ignored.”
– Muskan Agrawal, South Asia Events Lead, MEXC Ventures
“The turnout was incredible. From curious Web3 CXO leadership to ambitious youth investing in their future, Bitget had meaningful conversations with everyone. Gujarat is definitely ready for Web3.”
– Jyotsna Hirdyani, Growth, Bitget
Major themes that echoed throughout the day:
- Builders over hype: Web3 needs creators, not just commentators
- AI x Blockchain is not a buzzword-it’s a revolution in motion
- Real-world use cases and tokenization are gaining traction
- Gujarat’s appetite for Web3 education and collaboration is growing rapidly
Described by attendees as one of the largest Web3 meetups the city has ever seen, IBT Ahmedabad combined insightful speaker sessions, high-energy networking, and brand showcases into a day that felt more like a movement than just a meetup.
In line with its commitment to grassroots policy advocacy, Octaloop also conducted regulatory sentiment surveys with attendees. These insights, captured from across all IBT cities, will be compiled into a report to be submitted to the Indian government later this year.
“India is not just a user base – it’s a builder base. At IBT, we’re not just organizing events; we’re listening, documenting, and amplifying the voice of the people. Our mission is to help the government shape a regulatory framework that reflects the aspirations of India’s Web3 community.”
– Anupam Varshney, Founder, Octaloop
The event wrapped up with an invite-only afterparty at Aura, where builders, leaders, and creators continued their conversations late into the night.
Next up, the tour heads east to Kolkata, with more cities and the flagship Metamorphosis event still to come. From the response in Ahmedabad, one thing is clear: India’s Web3 movement is not confined to metros – it’s everywhere. And it’s unstoppable.
